GIFT OF CASHMost gifts to Keepers of the Wild are made by check. But gifts can be in the form of cash, credit or debit card also. If you itemize, such outright gifts are generally deductible up to 50% of your adjusted gross income. DONATE ON-LINETo make a secure on-line payment via PayPal, Click here. GIFT OF STOCKA gift of stock that you have owned for a number of years can be very tax-wise. Let's say you own stock which you have held for more than one year and has increased in value. If you sell your stock, you will pay a capital gains tax on its increase in value. You can avoid tax on this gain by making a gift of the stock to Keepers of the Wild. In addition, you charitable contribution deduction is equal to the full amount generally deductible, up to 30% of your adjusted gross income. GIFT OF REAL ESTATEA gift of real estate can also be tax-wise. A farm, residence, vacation home or vacant lot may have so appreciated in value throughout the years that its sale would mean a sizeable capital gains tax. By making a gift of this property instead, you would avoid the capital gains tax and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the property. An independent appraisal of your property is required by the I.R.S. if you wish to claim a deduction. You may also give your home, farm or vacation home to Keepers of the Wild now, while retaining the right to use it for your lifetime. You would receive an income tax deduction once your property is deeded to us. GOLF CARTIn order for us to keep our daily park operations going, golf carts are an absolute necessity. We welcome, and need, donations of any new or used 2, 4, or even 6 seater carts! If you are interested in donating a golf cart, please contact our business office at 928-769-1800 ext. 21 to make arrangements. Donations are tax-deductible. LEGAL DESIGNATIONKeepers should be named as: "Keepers of the Wild, Inc., a 501(c)(3) non-profit corporation with the current business address of 13441 E. Hwy 66, Valentine, Arizona 86437." BEQUESTS:One of the simplest ways to make a gift to us is through your Will. Keepers of the Wild can be made the direct beneficiary of specific assets, of a portion of your estate, or of your residual estate after payment of other bequests. Bequests to Keepers of the Wild are entirely free from federal estate tax and can therefore offer substantial estate tax savings. There is no limit to the amount you can leave to us. RETIREMENT PLANS:One of our rescue efforts is to provide a "retirement home" for animals that are older and unwanted or retired from the entertainment industry, the donation of your retirement plan can continue to make this happen.You can name Keepers of the Wild as a beneficiary of your Individual Retirement Plan (IRA), Keogh Plan, 401(k), 403(b) or other qualified pension plan. You may name us as beneficiary for part or all of what remains in your retirement account. The proceeds of these plans are distributed outside of probate and are entirely free from federal estate tax. REAL ESTATE:You may also give your home, farm or vacation home to Keepers of the Wild now, while retaining the right to use it for your lifetime. You would receive an income tax deduction once your property is deeded to us.

Keepers of the Wild is a deeply committed to the rescue and rehabilitation of neglected or abused exotic animals. Providing our animals with a clean safe and loving environment is our top priority. For many of the animals, this is their last chance for a life of peaceful coexistence with man; their last hope for survival. By sponsoring an animal through our sponsorship program, you can actively participate in helping our beautiful, wild creatures survive.Keepers of the Wild gives our animals the finest in veterinary and nutritional care. These services are necessary, but expensive. That is why our animals need you!Your donation will be applied directly to the annual medical and nutritional care costs of your favorite animals, not over-head expenses. You become part of the family and a part of our efforts to preserve the future of our wildlife. Volunteer: "A person who offers himself for a service without obligation to do so"- Random House DictionaryVolunteering at Keepers of the Wild provides a unique, rewarding and challenging experience... with daily activities varying from food preparation for our animals - to working in our gift shop or park - to working in the compound caring for our 150+ animals that reside here! Days are busy and full of camaraderie with like-minded individuals.After some experience, volunteers may also have the opportunity to lead tours and presentations, participate in fundraisers, help with rescuing animals and animal feeding. Persons with building and repair/maintenance skills are also considered very valuable!Please note: Only current, active volunteers are listed and Keepers of the Wild would like to express our unending appreciation to all who have helped us in the past, help us in the present and will help us in the future. Without dedicated volunteers our animal rescue program and wildlife park would not be possible. Please note that many of our volunteers not only donate their time at our facilities, but they donate wish list items, items needed regularly, money or specialty services.

Collect & Deliver DonationsCollect items listed on our wish list (such as toys, food, office supplies, etc.) from friends, neighbors, or co-workers, and then mail or deliver the items to us in person.Yard Sales or Bake SalesHave a yard sale or bake sale in order to raise money and awareness for Keepers of the Wild. If you are interested in having a sale to help us raise funds, please contact us at info_keepersofthewild.org and we can supply you with brochures to distribute at your sale.
