Odin is a male wolf who was challenged by one of his sons for the Alpha position in our wolf pack. His leg was crushed by his son's tremendous bite force which immediately resulted in an infection.  The leg could not be repaired therefore it had to be amputated.  Odin recovered well from his amputation and was extremely ambulatory and healthy.  Unfortunately, four months later a cancerous tumor was discovered on his other shoulder which proved to be fatal.  Odin is sadly missed.  Click here for his story.
