Niko is a 2-year old tiger who was very ill and undergoing treatment for leptospirosis and other infections. He had received every possible test to determine what the illness actually was. The source is yet undetermined, as is the case with many exotic animal illnesses. Determined Keepers of the Wild volunteers and participating veterinarians led Niko to a full recovery and is enjoying his new habitat in Valentine.  Over a year later, Niko stopped eating again.  He was taken to the vet and it was discovered that he had a terrible case of bloat.  After surgery and following treatment, he recovered 100% and went back into his habitat with his brother Zeus.
