Laws may vary from State to State, we urge you to check with your Financial Advisor. Gifts for the general use of Keepers of the Wild permit us to allocate resources in a manner consistent with changing priorities and strategies over time. However, our first priority always will be the best care and comfort of all our animals. Questions? Please call (928) 769-1800 with any questions you might have.
A gift of real estate can also be tax-wise. A farm, residence, vacation home or vacant lot may have so appreciated in value throughout the years that its sale would mean a sizeable capital gains tax. By making a gift of this property instead, you would avoid the capital gains tax and receive a charitable deduction for the full fair market value of the property. An independent appraisal of your property is required by the I.R.S. if you wish to claim a deduction.

You may also give your home, farm or vacation home to Keepers of the Wild now, while retaining the right to use it for your lifetime. You would receive an income tax deduction once your property is deeded to us.
