Willie was acquired after his owners decided they didn't have time for him anymore.  After getting used to constant attention, Willie did as many captive birds do under stress: he started picking his feathers out.  After several trips to the vet and diligent day-to-day care from the Keepers of the Wild staff, his feathers are now growing back.  He has also had a couple pieces of old infection removed from his chest.
Treatment will be ongoing.
