In July of 1999, Animal Control rescued a cow that was in serious condition. Cuts and abrasions covered her entire body, one foot was so badly infected she could barely walk on it. Jonathan Kraft happily welcomed her into the Keepers of the Wild family. After some much needed medical treatment and tender loving care it was announced that "Daisy" was going to be okay. The big surprise would come three weeks later in the form of a calf; everyone at Keepers fondly calls her "Buttercup." No one knew, not even the vet, that Daisy was pregnant. The malnourishment that Daisy had suffered caused her to be so skinny, that even the veterinarian was fooled.

Daisy now lives happily with her daughter Buttercup at Keepers of the Wild, and they are both doing great!
