Jaguars inhabit tropical forests in Central and South America.
These cats are built closer to the ground and "stalkier" (more
muscular and bulky) than leopards. Jaguars climb trees and
swim very well. Jaguars hunt many different types of prey
including primates and cayman. Jaguars are known as the "pit
bull" of the cat family.
In memory of Max, the spotted jaguar who retired from show
business to Keepers of the Wild and lived out his retirement
relaxing and happy. He passed from old age after 21 years of
life.
