Keepers of the Wild....
is a non-profit sanctuary dedicated to the rescue and rehabilitation of neglected, abused or endangered exotic animals. The preservation and protection of these wonderful, animals is paramount in our hearts and minds.

For many of the animals, this is their last chance for a life of peaceful coexistence with man. Their last hope... as with Sabu pictured to the left, before and after arriving at Keepers of the Wild.

Keepers of the Wild provides a clean, safe and loving environment for over 150 exotic animals, including lions, tigers, leopards, jaguars, cougars, wolves and other wonderful animals. Each of these animals have their own history of how they became a member of the Keepers of the Wild family. At Keepers of the Wild, these animals have been given the chance to recover and live happily ever after and despite their respective backgrounds, have even learned to trust people again. When rescued, these animals become a part of our family. We love, nourish and care for them as if they were our children. Because in reality...they are.

more about
Keepers of the Wild
and our goals
Keepers of the Wild is fully licensed by the U.S.D.A., U.S.D.I., the Department of Wildlife, the Arizona Game & Fish, and has been commended and awarded by a variety of animal organizations including the Nevada Wildlife Federation, Inc., the S.P.C.A., the Humane Society, veterinarians, schools, UNLV, YMCA, and many others. Keepers of the Wild also provides educational tours and seminars to the public schools, universities, senior citizen groups, Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts, YMCA, environmental clubs, many different children's organizations and clubs, Mommy & Me groups, and Earth Day, just to name a few.

Many of the animals at Keepers of the Wild have come out of deplorable situations, as in the case of Sabu's story to name just one. Some have fallen prey to abusive trainers. Others are here because people uneducated in the care of these animals tried to keep them as pets. Animals are far too often abused then ignored because they are treated as "objects", instead of sensitive living creatures. People tend to forget that animals are as much a vital part of our ecosystem as we are. Earth's future, as well as our own, could rely upon the fragile balance between man, animals and our environment. It is our sincere hope that, through education and public awareness, we can all learn to share our planet with the many diverse species on it and develop a better understanding of and kinder treatment toward our animal friends.

Keepers of the Wild nurses these unfortunate animals back to health with all the veterinary and nutritional care they need. We provide a clean, safe, happy and loving environment for them to live out the rest of their lives. Our long range goals include, but are not limited to the rescue of exotic animals from around the world, the education for our children and community, and the adopting of show business animals who have lost their ability to perform.

We are delighted and feel privileged to be able to provide a safe and permanent home for our animal friends that allow them to live out their lives in safety and with dignity. Our animals cannot speak for themselves ... we speak for them. We have a responsibility to provide the best life possible for these animals. At the same time, we must educate as many people as possible to make the public aware of the beauty and grace of these unique exotic creatures, and how they can live peacefully with man in these ever-changing times. We present to you our animals for that purpose.
